Mário Andrade

User experience designer. Currently working at the Guardian. Driven to design meaningful digital products.

I’m originally from Portugal but London has been my home for the last 8 years. I’ve had the opportunity to work in some amazing places and projects, starting as a graduate at the digital agency DigitasLBi and moving later to the Guardian where I’ve been busy ever since.

I have several years of experience working in interaction design, visual design, information architecture, prototyping, user research, concept development, product strategy and workshop moderation on all kinds of digital products.

When in doubt, I always follow Conan O’Brien’s advice: work hard and be kind.

The Guardian
Worked on multiple projects such as the redesign of the Guardian's native applications for iOS and Android, the development of breaking news alerts for the new responsive site, improving the Guardian’s advertising and commercial experience and rethinking the Guardian Membership experience.

Worked as part of a retained team for BT Consumer optimising their consumer site and as part of a retained team for Lloyds TSB developing their online banking site. I also worked on a small mobile team delivering new products for E.ON and Foot Locker.
